Flax seed pizza crust

Flax seeds are loaded with health benefits. They are full of nutrients and are specially known for their fatty acid content, omega-3 fats, lignans and fiber. They are a great source of ALA fatty acids for vegans and vegetarians. Plant-based ALA fatty acids are proven to have heart health benefits and are linked to a lower risk of stroke. Not only flax seeds healthy and nutritious, they are also very flavourful. I like to sprinkle then over salads, smoothy bowls and fresh fruits.

The recipe below is one of my favorite ways to add flax seeds to my diet.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup of flax seed (grounded)

  • a pinch of salt

  • 1/2 cup of water

Instructions

Pre heat the oven at 350 F/ 180 C. Mix all the ingredients using your hands. Open the dough in a flat and clean surface or rounded pizza pan. Bake it for 10 min. Remove from the oven and add toppings of your choice. Bake for another 10 min or until the toppings are fully cooked.
