Hazelnut and chocolate spread

hazelnut spread

I am a chocolate lover, like most of you are. And just like most of you I was raised eating Nutella on toast for breakfast, school breaks and any other snacks :) However, we can all agree that despite of how delicious Nutella may be, it is not the best for our healths. Because still crave that flavour, I have been playing around with a few recipes of my own to create a healthier version that is smooth and incredibly tasty. And I think I got it!

This recipe is very simple and it is very and needs only 3 ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of hazelnuts (roasted and peeled)

  • 2 tablespoons of raw cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tablespoon of melted (soft but not runny) coconut butter

Instructions

Roast the hazelnuts for 10 min at 190 C. Let it cool down completely and using your hands rub the hazelnuts to remove the skins. Transfer the peeled hazelnuts to a blender adding the coconut butter and the chocolate. Blend on high speed until very smooth and you can’t see any bits of the hazelnuts. Transfer to an air-tight container at room temperature.
